With 145 films there is sure to be one that you'd fancy. Like hand drawn animation? Check out The Secret of Kells. Weakness for documentaries? You might like Sun behind the Clouds. Maybe you prefer a bit more grit; The Forbidden Door is billed as "An elegant supernatural horror film." It's not all film watching, check out the Mid-Fest Madness Party on the 24th ... Summit Beer, Pizza Luce, DJ and B-Boys dancing. Seriously get out the house and go international.

Saturday is Record Store so meet up with some wheels and direct yourself to your favorite haunt. Don't have one? Here's a good excuse to acquaint yourself with store where you can talk to real people about music and get some recommendations for your new favorite band.

Local favorite Crispin Cider is expanding throughout this mighty land of ours. If you are digging on it, then check out the Cider and Sliders dinner tomorrow in downtown Minneapolis at Firelake.

Not a fan, then let your thoughts drift to Jeremy Messersmith's upcoming CD release party at the Cedar.

And if all that isn't doing it for you, then consider something outdoors - like volunteering at Ft. Snelling state park. You'll get a park pass for the day, a lunch, and after a little park clean up you are free to roam the trails. Ah nature with its rushing river, quirky deer and occasional airplane streaking the sky.

The 2010 trend of sell out shows continues. It might be worth noting that tickets are on sale now for the Black Keys, 2 shows at First Avenue.

For those of you recouping from the sting of concert cold shoulder (CCS) might I offer you some food and drink. On the 24th Canterbury Park is hosting Savor MN. Most of the vendors there will be local wineries. Summit will be on hand as well along with a few eateries including New French Bakery. If you want to explore the local wine scene this will save you hours in the car. Minneapolis denizens want to stay local and support an excellent cause? Check out the Urban Arts Academy Gala. If the 24th is already triple booked for you, May 7th offers another charitable beer and wine outing.
